The 112th National Day Preparatory Committee is scheduled to hold a "National Day Celebration Rehearsal" event in front of the Presidential Office on October 7th. To maintain the traffic order and safety of this event, the Taipei City Police Department will implement road closures and kindly requests bus services to cooperate by using alternative routes. The relevant restriction details are as follows (subject to possible adjustments):
1. At 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday Oct 7th 2023, the following streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic:
(1) Ketagalan Boulevard from Chongqing South Road to Huaining Street.
(2) Chongqing South Road from Guiyang Street to Baoqing Road.
2. At 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday Oct 7th 2023, the surrounding areas consisting of the following streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic:
(1) Taoyuan Street (excluding), Bo'ai Road (including) eastward
(2) Yongsui Street, Xiangyang Road (excluding), Yuanling Street (including) southward
(3) Huaining Street (including), Gongyuan Road (excluding) westward
(4) Guiyang Street (including), Aiguo West Road (excluding) northward
3. Control Measures:
(1) Eastbound vehicles will not be able to access:
- Taoyuan Street and Baoqing Road
- Taoyuan Street and Changsha Street
- Taoyuan Street and Guiyang Street
- Zhonghua Road and Baoqing Road
- Zhonghua Road and Guiyang Street
(2) Northbound vehicles will not be able to access:
- Chongqing South Road and Aiguo West Road
- Bo'ai Road and Aiguo West Road
(3) Westbound vehicles will not be able to access:
- Gongyuan Road and Ketagalan Boulevard
- Gongyuan Road and Guiyang Street intersection
(4) Southbound vehicles will not be able to access:
- Bo'ai Road and Yongsui Street
- Chongqing South Road and Xiangyang Road
- Huaining Street and Xiangyang Road
Drivers are strongly advised to listen to the latest traffic updates of the Police Broadcasting Service, avoid the restricted areas, and follow the guidance of police officers to avoid traffic jam and save time.
During the street closures, bus routes passing through the affected areas will be redirected accordingly.
