Be well aware that the ways for domestic and overseas applications are different.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>*Overseas applications can be made BY MAIL</strong></p><p id="isPasted">Application requirements for a PCRC are as follows:</p><p>(1) A completed application form</p><p>(2) Proof of identity: A photocopy of the passport that is authenticated or notarized by the R.O.C. embassies or overseas missions, or a photocopy of any of required identity documents, e.g., passport or Alien Resident Certificate, that is authenticated or notarized by other civil notary offices.</p><p>(3) A self-addressed envelope</p><p>(4) Fee: US$7 is charged for one copy of PCRC(including postage). Each additional &nbsp;certificate applied at the same time is US$1(the contents of each PCRC should be the same)</p><p><br></p><p>*Mailing Address:</p><p>Foreign Affairs Division, Taipei City Police Department</p><p>No. 96, Yanping S. To apply in person:</p><p>(1) A completed application form.</p><p>(2) Proof of identity:</p><p>A. R.O.C. citizens: an original R.O.C. ID. An original or copy of the passport photo page is needed for a PCRC with an English name on it.</p><p>B. Citizens of China, residents of Hong Kong or Macau: an original Exit & Entry Permit for the Taiwan Area of the Republic of China or a Permanent Resident Certificate.</p><p>C. Foreign nationals residing in Taiwan: an original passport or Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)</p><p>(3) Fee: NT $100 is charged for one copy of this certificate. Each additional copy applied at the same time is NT$20.</p><p><br></p><p id="isPasted">Any minor applicant under age 18, should also present his/her legal guardian&rsquo;s letter of consent and original ID with his/her application, or have his/her legal representative file the application in person.</p><p>2. To apply by mail:</p><p>(1) A completed application form</p><p>(2) Proof of identity:</p><p>A. R.O.C. citizens: an original R.O.C. ID or Household Registration Transcript issued within 1 month</p><p>B. Citizens of China, resident of Hong Kong or Macau: an original Exit & Entry Permit for the Taiwan Area of the Republic of China or a Permanent Resident Certificate.</p><p>C. Foreign nationals residing in Taiwan: an original passport or Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)</p><p>(3) Fee: NT $100 is charged for one certificate of this certificate in cash(Each additional certificate applied at the same time is NT$20.)</p><p>(4) A self-addressed registered mail envelope with sufficient postage</p><p>Mailing Address:</p><p>Foreign Affairs Division, Taipei City Police Department</p><p>No. 96, Yanping S. To apply via the Internet:</p><p>(1) Apply on the National Police Agency application page <a href="https://eli.npa.gov.tw/E7WebO/index01.jsp" id="isPasted" name="良民證申辦網站" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="警紀證申辦網站">(Application Item: Police Criminal Record Certificate &nbsp;Website Link)</a>, and then call 886-2-2381-7494 to confirm.</p><p>(2) Please present proof of identity as described and an application fee of NT $100 is charged for one copy of this certificate when picking up a PCRC at TCPD on the assigned day. (Each additional copy applied at the same time is NT$20.)</p><p>(3) If applicants DO NOT pick up certificates by the deadline, they will be required to apply again.</p><p><br></p><p>4. To apply by fax:</p><p>(1) A complete application form</p><p>(2) Please fax required documents to 886-2-2381-7487 and then dial 886-2-2381-7494 to confirm application.</p><p>(3) Please present proof of identity as described and an application fee of NT $100 is charged for one certificate of this certificate when picking up a PCRC at TCPD. (Each additional certificate applied at the same time is NT$20.)</p><p><br></p><p id="isPasted"><strong>Notes:</strong></p><p>1. If you assign an individual to apply on your behalf, you must submit a valid power of attorney with your signature or stamp included on the application form. The assigned individual must present proof of identity when picking up a certificate.</p><p>2.
