Blood Donation Event in Conjunction with 2017 Police Day

In conjunction with June 15’s Police Day, the Songshan Precinct planned a blood donation event on the day that the Civil Defense Group hold a regular training in this precinct. The event took place in front of the Songshan Precinct on June 6, 2017 between the hours of 9:30 to 16:30. Taipei Blood Center provided an on-site bloodmobile to support the event.
The Songshan Precint Chief Huang and the Civil Defense Group Commander Guo led officers with the precinct and the local civil defense volunteers in blood donation to help combat blood supply shortage which demonstrated their passion for community care.
At the same event, a crime prevention education booth was set up to disseminate latest information and news on crime prevention to raise security awareness. Commander Guo presented to each blood donor from the Civil Defense Group with a 2017 Taipei Universiade souvenir. To care for Civil Defense staff’s health, Tzu Chi volunteers were invited to the event to take blood pressure.
The Songshan Precinct and the Civil Defense Group’s actions to support local charity on top of their regular duties is an excellent example of their professionalism, community care and giving back to the society.
