TAIPEI, TAIWAN — The National Day Organizing Committee will hold the rehearsal for the 2026 National Day Ceremony in front of the Presidential Office Building on October 6. To maintain traffic order and public safety during the event, the Taipei City Police Department will implement road closures and traffic control measures. Bus routes will also be detoured accordingly. Details regarding the control times and boundaries are as follows:

1. Control Time:

Tuesday, October 6, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (subject to adjustment based on real-time traffic conditions).

2. Control Area:

The perimeter enclosed by the following boundaries:

• North: Yongsui St. (inclusive), Zhongxiao W. Rd. (inclusive of the 2 southern lanes), and Xiangyang Rd. (exclusive).
• East: Gongyuan Rd. (exclusive).
• South: Aiguo W. Rd. (inclusive).
• West: Taoyuan St. (exclusive) and Boai Rd. (inclusive).

3. Specific Traffic Control Measures:

• Eastbound Traffic Restrictions: Eastbound vehicular traffic will be restricted at the intersections of Taoyuan St. & Baoqing Rd., Taoyuan St. & Changsha St., Taoyuan St. & Guiyang St., Zhonghua Rd. & Baoqing Rd., Zhonghua Rd. & Guiyang St., and Bo’ai Rd. & Hankou St. Flexible control measures will also be applied to eastbound traffic at the intersection of Zhonghua Rd. and Hankou St.
• Northbound Traffic Restrictions: Northbound vehicular traffic will be restricted at the intersections of Chongqing S. Rd. & Aiguo W. Rd., and Bo’ai Rd. & Aiguo W. Rd.
• Westbound Traffic Checkpoints: Checkpoints will be set up to restrict westbound vehicles at the intersections of Gongyuan Rd. & Ketagalan Blvd., Gongyuan Rd. & Guiyang St., Guanqian Rd. & Xiangyang Rd., Huaining St. & Wuchang St., and Huaining St. & Kaifeng St.
• Southbound Traffic Checkpoints: Checkpoints will be set up to restrict southbound vehicles at the intersections of Chongqing S. Rd. & Zhongxiao W. Rd., and Huaining St. & Xiangyang Rd.

Motorists are advised to tune in to the Police Broadcasting Service for real-time traffic updates, plan alternative routes in advance to bypass the controlled areas, and follow police directions to avoid delays and maintain road safety.

Bus lines operating within the controlled areas during the specified hours will be diverted.
