Traffic Controls for Universiade Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2017 Taipei Universiade is going to be held at Taipei Arena on Saturday, Aug. 19. No parking is allowed at the venue of the opening ceremony. Traffic control measures will be put in place for Dunhua North Road, Nanjing East Road and other main arteries surrounding Taipei Arena from 3 p.m. to 12 p.m. on the day.

During the period, vehicle access will be restricted to public buses within the area of the section between Minsheng E. Rd. and Civic Blvd. of Dunhua N. Rd. and the section between Fuxing Rd. and Guangfu Rd. of Nanjing E. Rd.. Private vehicles are prohibited from using the above-mentioned sections of the two outer lanes.
In addition, the Taipei Arena section of Dunhua N. Rd. will be closed to vehicles. Drivers can use Minsheng Rd., Guangfu Rd. Fuxing Rd. and Civic Blvd. instead.
No parking space and U-bike will be available at the venue. The Universiade Executive Committee suggests that citizens attend the opening ceremony by public transport.
