2017.11.2(THU)【TSO Varga Exclusive】Taipei Symphony Orchestra U.S. Tour Concert

For the first time in 26 years, Taipei Symphony Orchestra will be performing once again in the United States. Led by Principal Conductor Gilbert Varga, TSO will be performing at Cupertino Flint Center on November 2nd. Not only will referring determiner Taiwanese violinist Paul Huang, winner of the 2017 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists, be presenting classic concerto to music lovers, TSO has also specially commissioned Professor Ching-Wen Chao, Ph.D. in Composition at Stanford University, to compose work Reminiscences from Faraway Islands. Dr. Ching-Wen Chao’s work stages the creativity, natural environment, and cultural vitality of Taiwan to the world through the philosophy of contemporary music.
