2017 Taipei Summer Universiade List of Prohibited Items on Athletes’ Village

1. Firearms (including model and toy firearms), dynamite, gunpowder, knives, and explosives
2. Poisons, corrosive or radioactive substances, and other types of dangerous chemicals
3. Any type of drugs, harmful biological agents, infectious pathogens and other dangerous materials
4. Oil, gas, alcohol, firecrackers, pressure spray cans, lighters, matches and other dangerous flammable materials
5. Suspicious powders or liquids
6. Glass bottles and other fragile objects, arrows, darts, scissors and other sharp objects
7. Clubs of any material, pickaxes, chisels and other objects that may be used to cause bodily harm
8. Bows, balls, rackets, bats, sticks, frisbees and other similar objects that are not intended for use in this competition
9. Any beverages or water in any type of packaging must be inspected by security personnel and tested by the owner before they may be brought into Village.
※Absolutely no alcoholic beverages
10. Food brought into Village must fulfill the following 3 requirements:
(1) Unopened items in original packaging
(2) Within clearly marked expiration date
(3) Non-refrigerated items
Items like energy bars, protein bars, chocolate, cookies, and hydration products (such as carbohydrate gels or powders, electrolyte solutions, etc.).
However, TUOC takes no responsibility for the effects of these products.
11. Any objects promoted and sold by non-official sponsors and the companies without partnership for commercial purpose
12. Only delegation flags and FISU flag are allowed. Objects promoting political views, social criticisms, racism, religions and the like are all prohibited. Only religious objects needed for the operation of Religion Center are permitted.
13. Electric scooters, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and any other kind of
transportation device (wheelchairs, other mobility aids, and transportation required by
TUOC are permitted).
14. All animals, except service animals, and work dogs such as guide dogs, and drug and
bomb sniffer dogs.
15. Anything TUOC determines to be disruptive or dangerous to the competition or
facilities
16. TUOC reserves the right to make changes to items deemed illegal by the host country
at any time.
17. Any of the above items that are necessary tools or equipment carried by medical staff,
media personnel, and technicians; or items that have been pre-approved to be used for
the event, or items necessary for the operation of Village can be taken in after inspection.
